Fixed the horrific Augmented Propeller regression bug. This was such a destroying event that it ended up in the game lore! Now you can go back to race faster than ever!
Anti-cheating measures have been integrated into the deepest code of the game, now you can safely play in multiplayer. And if you still lose, it’s your fault.

Added 20+ new ship colors as unlockable items: play more, get more, pimp yo ride.

DESIGN & BALANCE:
Now ship colors have names: enjoy your Torino GT9 Stradale or the Halloween special “Pumpkin Night”.
Lunare: increased overall speed, slightly better energy recharge, slightly less life.
ESA-AGR: increased overall speed, greatly improved turbo boost power, better energy recharge.
Conqueror: slightly increased overall speed, slightly increased turbo power.
Fixed Boss portals positions in Cairo, now more fair.
VR:
Enabled positional head tracking in VR mode.
Multiresolution rendering enabled for VR users (huge performance increase).
Added more launch options from the steam app (Oculus, Vive, OSVR, Desktop). If you have an Oculus, running the game via the Oculus SDK brings you more than a 20% fps increase.
Vive: better world scale, especially in the cockpit view.
Fixed a crash happening in VR when changing advanced options after a race.
Fixed crash starting a race in VR.
General performance improvements in VR, especially on Nvidia GPUs.
Turned off portals in VR, everyone hated them including ourselves. Sorry for those headaches.
Fixed Kinetic Lines in VR.
VISUALS:
More sandstorms in Cairo Calima!
AUDIO:
Soundtrack low-end frequencies got a fancier balance.
BUGFIXES & STUFF:
Trained the AI to not die like a blindfolded drunk driver in Volcano Hell.
Online: fixed a bug preventing the players to go back to the lobby after host gets eliminated.
Fixed Photo Finish achievement.
For some reason the HUD in third person camera was disappearing for the Lunare and the ESA-AGR. Now it stays in place.
You couldn’t rotate your ship in the garage, now you can and you should, those new colors aren’t gonna observe by themselves.
Chinese localization is now working properly.
Fixed some other localization issues. A lot of them.
VRWorks library updated.
Update to Unreal Engine 4.13
Update to FMod 1.08.14
Turned off the "Use Stencil for LOD Dither Fading" in Project Settings/Rendering. No idea what this means, but apparently was important at the time and sounds like fun. It was more like a reminder to ourselves, but if you got this far in reading the changelog, you deserve something more.
Added some more people into the credits. That’s because we scaled up QA and musicians, recently. And those guys are amazing!

STEAM controller support, official layout.
KNOWN BUGS:
Portals in Boss Modes are jet black on Oculus. If this happens launch the game in non-vr mode, go to settings and set the portals quality to low. Restart the game in VR and they should work.

"Prototype" racecrafts available to all players, regardless of level and unlocks, in online races and quick races.
Equalized Powerups and powerups upgrades between player and AI.
AI should be slightly more challenging in class III and IV.
EMP Sphere radius enhanced, slowing-down effect amplified for players that are hit, boost reduced.
Energy Drainer effect amplified.
Augmented Propeller slightly nerfed.
Hardened Hull passive powerup also increases automatic health regeneration.
Overloaded Energy Turbine also increases turbo boost power.
Gold rewards for multiplayer races has been reduced.
Added visibility on ship upgrades and powerup levels in the multiplayer lobby and other lists.
Added a minimum racing time before the event gives out base reward, damn grinding.
VISUALS:
Cockpit camera (with and without VR).
Health bar now blinks on all HUDs during health regeneration.
Added 2 more ship color palettes.
More fixes and optimizations for portals.
MaintainYRatio is now default, yay triple monitors.
BUGFIXES:
Fixed bug for which the Steam overlay would not appear when the Oculus is connected but not used.
VR optimisation work.
MASSIVE tuning for error correction and teleportation in multiplayer.
Game now saves ship colors, *silly game with no memory*
Fixed bug for which joypad vibration would stop working after restart.
Fixed achievements related to unlocking powerups and ship upgrades.
Fixed flap animation for Lunare Scuderia.
Minor localisation fixes.
Fixed bug for which the wrong ship would be saved in quickrace records.
Fixed bug for which VSync option would get ignored/reset every time the game would start.

Fixed a bug for which the ship would respawn in a very awkward position in Volcano.
There was a bug for which if you managed to restart the game while the ship was exactly at the beginning of the exploding animation, the ship in question would resurrect during the restart in the exact same state. Which means you were driving an exploded ship. Weird stuff.
Fixes various crashes.
Statistics should have numbers which actually make some sort of sense now. Maybe.
FOV doesn't explode anymore while turbo boosting.
Fixes some issues with various contracts.

Further increased max structure for all Koeniggswerth ships.
Increased Conqueror acceleration curve, slightly increased steering responsiveness (it's still a super-fast block of wood).
Decreased Sulha ships steering responsiveness by a tiny bit.
Further increased wall friction slightly.
Reduced wall repulsion power a bit, high-speed collision are less bouncy.
Slightly reduced AI aggressiveness for the first Career races. Still hard AF as a first experience, but less cruel.
Re-tuned Score bonuses for best lap, speed trap, etc. now staying in front should actually reward you.
VISUALS:
Added resolution and upscaling options.
Added quality settings for portals (you can also turn them off now).
Reviewed Abruzzo lighting (tracks should be easier to read).
Minor visual fixes in Volcano.
Added Score points-per-second indication on the race HUD.
AI:
Fixed bug for which AIs would suddenly become dumb and freak out during jumps, constantly exploding.
Fixed bug for which AIs would fail to control their pitch on slopes, causing a sparklefest.
Reviewed AI ship upgrades and powerup level balancing system: they are now much closer to the ones that the player has equipped.
MULTIPLAYER:
Added lobby chat.
Fixed bug for which rapidly toggling "ready" in multiplayer lobby would break the menu.
Fixed random crashes when joining a lobby.
Updated "in race" percentage indicator to be more accurate.
BUGFIXES:
Solved framerate-dependant turbo boost strength.
Fixed bug for which a corrupt save file would crash the game (but in this case we just delete your savegame, don't play around with it).
Solved Abruzzo performance issues.
Fixed performance drops when close to teleporting portals.
Fixed bug for which, in Score races, players and AI would be granted perfect laps even when exploding.
Fixed handling bug for Class II, III and IV Koeniggswerth ships.
Full Optionals contract fixed, you can actually fail it now.
Fixed "Better than Ever" achievement.
Fixed bug for which the music would sometimes fail to play if using Asera (yes, it was weird).
OTHERS:
Added Simplified Chinese support.
Multiple localization issues fixed.
Minor fixes, which is what devs say when they are too lazy to go check the task board for something they may have forgot.

Slightly increased Asera speed curve.
Slightly nerfed Sulha and Conqueror speed curves.
Slipstream Enhancer powerup was broken: fixed and recalibrated (more powerful and extended range).

Reduced base $ reward in higher classes, slightly increased rewards for medals (GIT GUD).
Slightly increased ship upgrade costs.

Fixed bug for which engine upgrades for class 2/3 ships slightly deteriorated performances.
Adjusted gold, silver and bronze for *a lot* of events, fixed some platinums that were obviously wrong (GOTTA GIT GUD).
Fixed some career events: "CALIMA PRESSURE RUN" was not taking place in Calima, "COASTLINE PURE" was not taking place on Bridges, "HOT SANDS" event was in f***ing Abruzzo.
VISUALS:
Fixed bug for which flyzone limits were not visible in Volcano.
Fixed bug for which your ship would become invisible when restarting a career event during an explosion animation (too bad because it was cool).
Fixed bug for which opponent indicators would appear even with the HUD option set to off.
Improved visibility for Survival obstacles.
Added Motion Blur option and unlimited FPS cap.
VR:
Added 3rd person VR camera.
Reduced intensity of broken glass effect.
Fixed blocking bug in Rat Race Trial.
Fixed matchmaking screen.
Fixed some pseudorandom multiplayer crashes.
ONLINE:
Added visibility for active matches when searching for servers.
Fixed lap time, it would count the wrong time after the first lap.
Fixed bug that caused the opponent indicator on top would disappear after the first player completed the race.
Fixed bug that made impossible to change camera or look back after the first player completed the race.
Fixed bug that caused the event level to appear as 0.
OTHER BUGS:
Fixed bug for which your position would randomly decrease during some Boss events.
Fixed bug for which strafing was allowed during pre-start countdown.
Fixed achievements "Calling Houston", "Flawless" and "Enlightened", now you can actually brag, congratulations.
